THE SUMMER OF 2020
The Summer of 2020 was a different season for Provincetown and the Crown and Anchor, but after all was said and done, we learned so much about the resilience of Provincetown. We are hoping for the best for 2021 and will continue our programming as we did in 2020 and can pivot once State Guidlines allows us that flexibility!
Without our loyal patrons, who have always believed in Provincetown's unique charm and allure, there would have been no summer season without you.
Without our incredible staff, who worked so many extra hours during the heat of the summer, we would not have opened and been able to provide our restaurant, hotel and entertainment venues and services to you.
Without our magical and creative entertainers, whom on short notice, were able to present an incredible array of shows and entertainment in a newly constructed outdoor entertainment venue on very short notice, a huge accomplishment and huge thank you.
Without our town officials, who immediately understood the inherent challenges of having a summer season, and worked closely with our business community with evolving state guidelines and timetables, their guidance and support was invaluable.
Without all our patrons and staff and visitors this summer, who observed the community's protocols of masking wearing and social distancing, there would have been no summer season.
It took an entire community of Provincetown year rounders and second vacation homeowners, summer staff, local businesses and vendors, town officials, and most importantly our visitors, to achieve a healthy and safe summer of 2021.
And we succeeded beyond all expectations!
As we close the operation of the Crown & Anchor on October 12 until next spring in response to these challenging economic times, for the time in our 20-year ownership and stewardship of Provincetown's most important crown jewel, we look forward to reopening with renewed passion for a better and healthier summer 2021.
Stay healthy and well and see you soon!
